In January 2020 we skipped the organization of the winter meeting for just one year, as a sort of sabbatical.

From next year on we will just continue with it, but in a slightly modified form. We have learned a lot from the oldest family association in our country, of which your chairman is also an active member through his grandmother. This association added a preceding winter walk to the regular recipe of the New Year's meeting, and this has increased the turnout considerably since then. So you will understand what you can expect next year ...
And of course, family members who don’t feel like taking a walk will also be welcome, at the final meeting place.
Dogs are also welcome, by the way. During the first winter walk of the aforementioned association, I had brought my dog along unasked (with pedigree, though), and this became a good habit of other dog owners in the following years. It reinforces the family character.
Going back in time, the origin of the family association was in the habit of Rotterdam family members to come and congratulate each other around New Year. The family has since swarmed out across the country and the world. The Family Dinner has been added to our activities in recent years - in November, around the annual arrival of Joy Voorhoeve Holland from Canada. Also on November 9, 2019. You can read more about these meetings in our Blog posts.
