Family dinner on November 9, 2019

In November Joy Voorhoeve Holland from Canada came again to visit the country of her ancestors. Just like previous years, she stayed in one of the canal apartments of the Voorhoeve Foundation. And on the occasion of her visit there was a dinner for family members on Saturday, November 9 in the monumental Van Balckeneynde House where the publisher Hans Voorhoeve once lived.

Joy's father, born in Rotterdam in 1899, emigrated to Canada at a young age and became a steward of the National Trust. He assumed a double surname after the fashion in the British empire at the time, think of Rees Mogg, Parker Bowles, Lloyd Wright, Trevor Roper, etc. In his case, it became Voorhoeve Holland.
